- Looks like iTunes Match will be arriving any day, based on Apple's announcement that it's resetting current developer libraries today.
- There's been lots of news in the last week on the dormant-for-a-while rumors that Apple is developing an iOS-based Apple TV. Some of the choicest ones include:
- Jeff Robbin, the creator of the iTunes Store, is reportedly heading up the project inside the company.
- One analyst expects that users could pay as much as a 100% price premium for the device when it appears. Given the pricing surprise of the iPad--remember that people thought it would cost $1000 but debuted at just $500--I suspect that's not going to be the case. Apple's not the most expensive player on the block anymore. Thanks to its ability to buy in huge quantities from suppliers, they can offer the best combination of product and price.
- In iPhone 4S news:
- Apple's online store now supports an option to buy online and pick up your purchase in-store, rather than having it shipped. It's a San Francisco-only feature right now, but expect it to roll out wider soon.
- Apple and Sprint are reportedly working on improving the data speed of iPhones on the carrier's network.
- The co-founder of the company that developed Siri before Apple bought it has left Apple.
- There is yet another update to the Apple TV software. Free as usual, and hopefully not as buggy as the last version.(via about.com)
